The Curriculum and Instructional Program of the Millard Public Schools is driven by the District’s Mission and Strategic Plan, the findings and recommendations of the Phi Delta Kappa Curriculum Management Audit (2007), Board of Education Policy and Rules, and Nebraska Department of Education Rule 10 requirements.  The Millard Public Schools “guarantees that each student develops the character traits and masters the knowledge and skills necessary for personal excellence and responsible citizenship."   This is done by providing “a world-class educational system with diverse programs and effective practices designed to engage and challenge all students."

The Millard Public Schools provides a rigorous curriculum that promotes an Advanced Placement (AP®) culture. The curriculum is aligned with and surpasses the requirements of state standards and indicators.  The Millard Education Program (MEP) consists of content curriculum, appropriate instructional strategies, and valid assessment methodologies.  MEP also outlines the development phases and timeline for curriculum development.

The Millard Instructional Model (MIM) promotes instructional best practices that are research-based and data-driven.

Curriculum-based classroom assessments (formative and summative) and diagnostic assessments used within the District’s Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtI+I) model are overseen by Educational Services.  Standardized tests, District Essential Learner Outcome assessments, and State assessments are the responsibility of the Office of Planning and Evaluation.  All assessment data is used to ensure continuous growth and improvement of student achievement and improved instruction.

The Millard Public School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, disability, or age in its employment, programs, and activities.
